I went to see Dr. Demaria today at Durham Regional Hospital (which is now part of Duke Med). I am scheduled for the band surgery on August 18, 2009. It has taken 4 years to get to this point so i hope it is all worth it. I have been having some panic anxiety. This only happens if I think about the surgery and all the thinks that could happen. I dont have the best record with surgery. Demaria said that I should only be in hospital overnight. He answered all my questions and was very positive. As of todays visit I have lost a total of 43lbs in the last three months. This makes me very happy.
So we will all keep our fingers crossed that all goes well.
